The Deformable Phase Plate (DPP) lies at the heart of Phaseform's approach to adaptive optics.
It enables transmissive, high spatial-frequency, continous-sheet wavefront modulators with a remarkably compact footprint.
DPP technology enables new types of continuous-surface wavefront modulators, which can be inserted into any optical beam path without beam folding optics.
The DPP allows exceptionally small footprint devices and completely new adaptive optics system designs.
The DPP's high-density electrostatic actuators array within the optical aperture allows correction of high-order radial Zernike modes, with amplitudes of multiple wavelengths in the visible range.
The DPP is created using MEMS microfabrication, high-precision assembly and optofluidic encapsulation methods - a robust and scalable technology.
