Phaseform will be showcasing at Photonics West 2026 from January 17-22 in San Francisco at the German Pavilion, booth #420535. Stop by to see live demonstrations, discuss your specific imaging challenges, or simply talk about the exciting future of adaptive optics. We look forward to meeting you in San Francisco!
We will presenting two papers showcasing the latest advances in our adaptive optics technology:
"An adaptive optics extension for commercial microscopes for high-order aberration correction" (paper 13860-16) introduces Phaseform's PHI series—a modular adaptive optics attachment that brings high-order wavefront correction to commercial microscopes. This presentation showcases our approach to easy integration, our intuitive control software, and real-world application results demonstrating significantly enhanced image quality in high-resolution microscopy. The PHI system represents a major step forward in making advanced adaptive optics accessible and practical for life science researchers.
"Machine learning-based open-loop control of an optofluidic Deformable Phase Plate" (paper 13907-14) presents a breakthrough in control methodology for Deformable Phase Plates (DPP). The paper describes a novel machine learning approach using gradient boosting regression, trained on interferometric measurements of Zernike aberrations, to predict optimal electrode voltage configurations for desired wavefront shapes. This technique achieves exceptional accuracy with errors below 20 nm RMS, dramatically improving both precision and robustness of sensorless adaptive optics correction.
Our team is looking forward to connecting with the microscopy and photonics community to discuss how our innovations are making high-performance adaptive optics more accessible than ever.
